Retreat Overview
Costa Rica was the first New Narratives retreat, and we all learned a lot.
For starters, November is a tricky month be in Costa Rica. It could be sunny every day, or you could get torrential storms for a week straight that cause flooding. (We got the latter.)
Though harrowing at times, the rain bonded us and allowed for a lot of cozy down time to really think through what we’re building, why and the next best steps forward.
One attendee came away with the idea for her next business, while another decided it was time to get serious about expanding her skillsets.
We all came away grounded and for our businesses that we’re excited to work in.

In a world where people constantly publish content about their lives, it's surprisingly difficult to find transparent information about what entrepreneurs are doing to build sustainable businesses.
The New Narratives Retreat is the perfect antidote. It created a welcoming, intimate space where I was able to hear from other business owners and share my own stories with the goal of building the lives we want.

Before coming to the retreat, I felt stuck and confused about where to take my business.
It wasn't lighting me up like when it used to, and I wasn't growing as much or taking on new challenges. In my day to day, I didn't have the headspace or time to change that.
The retreat made space for bigger picture thinking and working ON the business, not IN it.
After the retreat, I felt re-inspired and came out of it with a plan and concrete ways to transform my business so it was something that excited me again.
